CEOs at the Frontier 100 Annual Forum in Dakar, Senegal
On April 14-15, CEOs engaged in a focused discussion about how IGD’s Frontier 100 network could most productively stimulate increased investment and business growth on the African continent. CEOs representing six African countries and the United States gathered in Dakar, Senegal for the Second Annual Frontier 100 Annual Forum.
CEOs agreed to take a number of steps to facilitate job creation and economic growth in Africa:
- Improve investor perceptions of Africa by highlighting success stories and investment opportunities
- Increase investment in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by identifying high quality SMEs for investors to fund
- Improve opportunities for local talent by cultivating high-potential individuals through internships, secondments and job placement
Frontier 100 is working on these steps and will review progress at the next forum in October 2010.
